i had to leave my peanut butter at the mtc because of weight.... and now i gotta find some..
we have a investigator named jeffery.. he is 11 we take him to church every sunday.. i teach him english and he teaches me spanish.. haha he is getting baptized on the 28..
i found a licence plate!! tell ron ill try and find him one too...
yesterday i closed the bathroom door and the knob broke off... and it was locked.. so i had to be bob the fixer man.. haha
yesterday we ran into some super drunk guys.. they were almost falling over when they where walking.. they were trying to speak english to us.. they said.. to you like my country??? their are alot of drunks..
some people when we are praying, they say a prayer under thier breath.. its kinda wierd..
it rained
some investigators gave us some wierd meat.. they said it was cow...
we take buses everywhere.. usually they are one quet.. but on sundays they are 1.25... gee..
it took a while to get the pictures attached.. to this email..
i bought my first tye today! 5 quets..
did i tell you i left my shower frog in the mtc... sad day..
i bought a new one, but its not a frog..

buenos dias familia,
the flight was so fun and not very long!
we stayed at the "white house" on monday night... its a getto place where its the missionarys first night or the last night.... haha.
my new comp and trainer is elder flake from arizona....
last night we went to some of the members houses! it was so fun to talk to them in a conversation and i understood most of it..
everywhere is super getto.. my area is Nueve Vida.! it has some mountains and some city...
our house is pretty nice... our bathroom is just outside our normal apartment, and so is our place where we wash our dishes! stray perros everywhere!! but their not mean..
we can send pics back and forth!! but i forgot my camera today... but my p-day is on monday and all write again then.
its not as humid as i thought it would be.. but it has not rained in a while they said..
their are crazy looking cars.. and little stores everywhere you look.. last night i saw like a 10 yr old kid smoking.. ha
we took the bus today to get here... one quet.. everything is super cheep but you only have so much money per month.. so you cant think someting is cheep in america.. you have to just think in quets.. 8 quets = one american dollar.. we eat lunch everday at a members house... but we have to cook breakfast and dinner.. a lady washes our cloths except for our garments..
hopfully heather got the camera card..
im gonna have to brink alot more soda, cuz they offer it everwhere, not all the water is pure.. that is the mail reason we get sick.. and we cant eat from the street vendors, cuz we will get sick for sure..
the temp is perfect! it feels so good.. we have hot water in the shower!!! most of the time..
it was fun calling everyone when i was in TX
i can be picked up from my mission! missionarys do it all the time! so pick me up!?

ties are plentyfull! around 5 quets each.. our taxi to our house was 80 quets.. 30 min.. thats the only time we use a taxi, cuz of baggage. same distance in the bus, around 2 quets.. their are guys with shotguns everywhere in front of stores, dont steal or youll get pumped full of lead.
we ate pizza hut lastnight.. haha.. and pancakes and the rest of our pizza this morning.. one pizza around 65-100 quets.. rent is 1000 quets per month, washing is 100, and lunch is 300.. thats our expences, plus food. we get 3000 quets per month. the 100 quets bill looks like alot, but its not.. haha..
their are alt of big rolling hills. very green.. everyone has a motocycle, small, big, loud, quiet, junk, nice, enclosed, exposed, dilervery man, and 3people on one... hehe..
we cant give money away.. so story time.. some guy was begging the missionarys so much for one quet every day.. so one day the missionary made the guy carry his backpack around all day! haha. people do anything for one quet..
thier is a chicken farm by our appt. ha
o ya, elder flake has only been on a mission for 6 months..

Hey its Heather,
My family had the opportunity to talk to Elder Oakey yesterday when he had his lay over in Texas on his way to Guatemala. He is doing great! He loves speaking Spanish he still has some problems with having a conversation but he gets the point. He seems really excited for his mission he is really focused on teaching the gospel. He did not say anything about missing home but we all know Paul he would not tell us even if he was home sick. Lol!! He did not loose or gain any weight in the MTC so everyone who has bets on how much he will weigh I hope that is a good thing. He did puncher his right ear drum again. I know everyone wants to know how he did it... He was blowing his nose!! Lol!!! So he got to leave the MTC to go see a specialist. He said it was fun leaving campus. The Doctor had to check everything out to see if he could go on the plane but there was already a scab so he was good to go. They put a video camera in his ear he said it was really cool. He was traveling with 7 other elders! I will post pictures soon! Please write him he would love to hear from everyone! The best way to write him is through dearelder.com. we just talked to a guatemalan elder for like 20 min!! it was great, he told us about some of the culture, and how some stuff works and some words that they use.. he said we are doing good, and he likes us.. hahaha
yup we still go the temple for the 1020 session..
the lesson went great!! one more then we are gone..

pops pants tore in the croch area..... so i just sent them into the shop where they sewed them up... so for the sewing and dry cleaning 4 ties, 2 pants, one jacket. it was 17 dollars.... is that good?
we where hosts again yesterday. for the new arrival elders.. its was fun, we did it last week also..

i heard their was a huge earthquake by or in guatemala and somwhere near by a bunch of people died....
i can grab rim now in b-ball cuz ive been jump roping so much! i havnt gained any reps on my pull ups though......... its hard to improve when your sitting in a chair for 15 hours a day.............

he is from mexico and he also served his mission thier.. he realy only speaks to us in spanish!!

the RC is so fun Referal Center!! we answer calls and messages from lds.org.. so we recieve inbound calls and we can instant message people if they have questions on the site.. we also do outbound calls to see if they got thier items.. like a free bom or bible or the movies.. and we can send them to them.. through mail or we always ask if they would like some representatives from the chuch to bring the item to them.. then we leave them with a message and testify!! its fun cuz they are real people not just another missionary..

Hi..
everyone is so excited for tonight.. another important guy is commin to talk to us!! tuesday night was pres. Anderson from the 12! his grandchildren sang to us a bunch of songs and it was great.
We didnt get to go to the temple today.. or next week.. soo saddd. really its like the best thing to do around these parts.
it would be better for all of you to write me back on dear elder! k! cuz i waste time reading the emails.. and i only get on the computer once a week.. so just write me on dear elder. . thanks

i heard today that the mtc gym is the most used gym in the US..! super sweet..
we have been teaching alot of lessons and leaning the language.. its not hard it just takes some time to get used to.
we took a temple walk today, and took alot of pics. its been snowing alot and i like it!!
Elder Simonson just barly stared at me from the other side of the table and it made me laugh...haha he is one of my zone leaders. and he is on the computer writing hes fam right now... wierd!
i have been hearing that inorder to send a letter from guat to home i need and international stamp? will you check and see for me please? or how many normal stamps do i need? if i do need an international stamp i can send most of my normal stamps home and you could send me some internatonal ones!!! wooo hoooo
